Recent Floods in Adderbury

Posted 38 weeks ago (21/10) by Theresa Goss

Along with other areas in Oxfordshire Adderbury experienced an unprecedented amount of rainfall recently (22nd/23rd September) and 9 inches /225mm of rainfall was recorded by the MET office at South Newington.

These were the worst floods since 2007. This resulted in an anxious time for many residents in a number of low lying areas of the village.

This triggered the Environment Agency’s emergency warning system with phone messages to residents in the flood plain.
